Physical Therapy (PT)

Phys Therapy

A PT evaluation will assess orthopedic and neurological conditions that have resulted in pain, joint dysfunction, impairments of strength, flexibility, balance, endurance, mobility and posture.

I create treatment plans that address personal needs using techniques such as heat and cold eStim therapy, soft tissue mobilization, muscle energy and therapeutic exercise. Therapeutic exercise is important to the treatment of orthopedic and neurological conditions to help reduce discomfort and optimize mobility.

We will get you back to work or recreation as quickly and safely as possible!

Custom Orthotic

Custom Orthotics

Custom orthotics reduce or eliminate back, hip, knee and foot pain by balancing your gait with strategically placed support.

To fit, I scan your feet with cutting-edge 3D BodyView Scan Technology. This results in a computer-generated image that reveals

Orthotics to fit:

  • Athletic shoes

  • Running shoes

  • Dress shoes

  • Boots

  • Casual shoes

  • Flip-flops

where the most pressure is occurring on the bottoms of your feet while standing, and the

integrity of each foot's three arches.

Based on that scan, the Foot Levelers lab creates a mold and custom orthotics to      support your arches and level your feet more effectively. This supports joints in

your foot, knee, pelvis, spine and shoulders. Additionally, these customized

orthotics support proper posture to prevent injury or assist in healing an injury.

I will create orthotics based on your specific needs:

  • Supportive orthotics for comfort

  • Corrective orthotics that help heal an injury

Therapeutic & Corrective Exercise

Therapeutic & Corrective Exercise

Therapeutic exercise may be an important part of personalized treatment. Evaluations will help identify weak muscles that are not firing appropriately, leading to treatment options:

  • Manual resistance, TheraBand, free weights, therapy ball

  • At-home exercises

  • Progress determined by pain level, strength or activity tolerated

TheraBand exercises promote strength & stability.

Thermo Stim

Thermo Stim

This soft-tissue mobilization method lets me deliver heat or cold therapy with electrical stimulation (eStim) simultaneously to promote healing and reduce therapy time.

It is non-invasive, and a fantastic complement to manual PT. Patients have been very happy with the treatment, and I'm seeing outstanding results already.

  • Back & neck pain

  • Plantar fasciitis

  • Muscle strains

  • Tendonitis an& tendinosis

  • Nerve pain

  • Adhesions

  • Edema

After an initial PT evaluation, you may schedule ThermoStim-only appointments (30-minutes), or I will incorporate ThermoStim into your regular PT session.

PEMF

Pulsed Electro-maGnetic field Therapy (PEMF)

With infrared heat.

PEMF therapy mimics the earth’s magnetic frequency (7.8 Hz to be exact) that serves as a healing resource for your body. It sends bursts of low-level magnetic frequencies directly into the body. These low frequencies pass through the skin to penetrate and heal muscle, bones, tendons and even organs. Many people like PEMF therapy as a non-invasive way to treat soft tissue injuries, chronic pain and even long-term depression and sleep disorders. The goal is to expedite recovery from the inside out. Primary benefits:

  • Improved circulation

  • Pain reduction

  • Improved muscle relaxation and performance

  • Decreased inflammation & swelling

  • Improved oxygenation in tissue

  • Enhanced cellular repair & recovery

  • Strengthened immune system

  • Better sleep

Cupping Therapy

*NEW*

25-Min Session: $35

I use this alternative therapy when indicated during PT sessions to promote blood flow and facilitate healing. It involves placing small silicone cups over an injured soft tissue area. The cups create suction, which increases blood flow to the area, relieving muscle tension and promoting cell repair.
